The last time I wrote about Glossybox was in August and I haven't received any great boxes since then, but this month is a refreshing change. GB have definitely upped their game for November which myself and many other subscribers are happy about. Before, they didn't seem to be making any effort or thought about the boxes, and seemingly chucked any old thing in. Because of this, I've been thinking about unsubscribing but thought I'd wait until the Christmas box as surely it will be great one!
However, I'm pretty impressed with this box and I got the satisfaction that I used to get with their earlier boxes.
The Glossy Wish List
Vichy - Idealia Life Serum
I received two samples of the serum and one Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream which I was pleasantly surprised with - I think most people got 3 serums. The serum claims it helps transform the appearance of skin's quality & protects skin from visible effects of stress, pollution, smoke or an unbalanced diet. The product itself is a lovely texture & holds a pretty pearlescent colour.
Full size - 29.50 / 30ml
I received Idealia Life Serum - 3ml x 2 & Idealia Smoothing & Illuminating Cream - 3ml x 1
Emite Makeup - Micronized Eyeshadow in Nect
The eyeshadow is a really lovely light shimmery shade that is super versatile. I've been using it everyday since receiving it - it's perfect to highlight certain areas of the face such as the inner corners or the eyes, above the cupids bow, under the brow line, for highlighting above the cheekbones & of course as an eyeshadow. It's free from oil, nickel, parabens & perfume so ideal for lens wearers like myselff & those with sensitive eyes.
I received full size which is £16.80 / 1.48g.
Yves Rocher - Cocoa & Pistachio Nut Hand Cream
I like the French brand Yves Rocher & have bought from them previously - the free gifts & promotions are amazing and really entice you in. The cream came right on time as I needed a new one & it smells very nice, although I detect more cocoa that nut. It also absorbs really well.
This was another full sized item which is £1.95 / 75ml.
Elegant Touch - Nail Polish Remover Pads
These I'll happily accept as they'll come in handy although I usually just do it the old fashioned way. They are basically just pre-soaked cotton pads that are acetone-free - I tend to find this type of thing to be too oily for my liking but they are super handy for travelling. There's no potential leaking either as it has a pull up seal under the lid.
Again, full size - £2.00 / 20 pads.
Gosh Cosmetics by E. Tjellesen - GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick in 148 Sundown
Another product I really appreciated was this lipstick which is a pretty orange shade. In the bullet it looks quite bold but on the lips it is much sheerer. There is a slight shimmer to it aswell. I will point out the taste is really, really bad. I do have a slight obsession with lipsticks so I can overlook the bad taste & avoid licking my lips at all costs!
Another full size - £6.49 / 4g.
All these products I will definitely use and the hand cream & eyeshadow are my favourites. The least exciting item for me was the remover pads although they'll come in handy. Four items out of five were full sized - which is possibly the most I've ever had from GB.
What do you think of my box? They've definitely improved in my opinion.
Thanks for reading!
