Melvita Fresh Micellar Water (for faces & eyes)
Product description from Melvita's website -
This fresh and delicately perfumed 3-in-1 formula removes make-up, cleanses and tones, thanks to the action of micelles, which trap impurities.
Enriched with wild rose petal extract (derived from roses that grow at high altitudes) and moisturizing rose floral water, the Fresh Micellar Water cleanses skin perfectly without any drying effect. Within moments, skin is soft, fresh and radiant.
In a single, simple step, skin is free of make-up, perfectly clean and fresh!
99% of the ingredients are from natural origin
23 % of the ingredients are from Organic Farming
Price - £15.00 RRP / 200ml
Where I bought it - Latest In Beauty
Product link - Melvita Fresh Micellar Water
I can't remember if I paid for this or not - I either bought it as one of Latest in Beauty's 'luxury samples' or it came as one of 3 samples in their Beauty Box selection (free with £1.50 p&p)
Either way it was fairly cheap, and a good sized sample!
Packaging -
This smaller sized bottle is pretty much the same packaging as the full sized product. It is clear but frosted/clouded, enabling you to see how much water you have used. It has a white screw top lid. On the front it has some small photos of roses, and it is generally a pretty bottle. Information is in French and translated to English.
Application -
Apply morning and evening to face and eyes in cirular motions, using a cotton pad. No need to rinse.
Scent -
It smells like roses. I seem to have a few rose scented products at the mo - and I don't particularly love the scent, but it's okay. I find it always a bit too strong, but fairly pleasant. If you love the smell of roses then this scent won't be a problem for you.
Texture -
Clear liquid, just like water (it is the main ingredient). Very similar to a toner.
I enjoyed using this product as its very effective at cleansing the face, and I love that it has natural ingredients. It's also very refreshing - I think it would be perfect for summer, especially in a spray bottle to just freshen up throughout the day.
It is a good sized sample and lasted me a while but I didn't use it everyday. I might possibly repurchase but it is quite pricey if you consider it's pretty much just water. I often used it after a make up wipe to get rid of the excess make up/ impurities that is left on your face. I find make up wipes don't get rid of all your make up like a cleanser, so this is useful if your can't be bothered to wash your face!

Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter
Try saying that out loud!
Product Information from Lush's website -
Head and shoulders, knees and toes. Knees and toes
And don’t forget the cuticles
A super-thick cream choc full of rich ingredients to help you get to grips with dry bits. Knees, elbows, heels, nails and cuticles – all will benefit from some Lemony Flutter attention.
We have put almost every oil and butter from our store cupboard into this little pot, making the softest thickest cream we could to make sure those stubborn bits surrender. This cream is made to a very old-fashioned, traditional formula. It is a beeswax emulsion and uses thick oils and butters and very little water all skillfully put together. It is the lost art of traditional cream making – and we think it gives a high quality cream that makes the oils easily available for the skin to take up.
Price - £6.25 RRP / 50g
Where I bought it - Free sample pot from Lush store

If you have a Lush store nearby then you should definitely ask for some samples of stuff you want to try. They are always very nice and helpful and how I long to work there! You would smell so good all the time.
Packaging -
Can't comment much as its just their little black pot with a screw on lid but it is extremely handy to store tiny things in or small amount of your favourite product to put in small handbag.
Application -
Rub in a small amount onto each nail. I put it on cuticles and all the dry areas around the nail. You can also use on any other dry areas like elbows, feet etc. I actually used this on my lips as well (the lush lady was shocked?!) and I find it works quite well but doesn't stay on for long as it is easily absorbed.
Scent -
Extremely lemony. Not the scent of real lemons but sickly sweet lemon drizzle type of smell. Gorgeous at first, then it turned to a bit too much for me but I still enjoy the scent and it is very unique to other cuticle creams. Lingers for quite a while.
Texture / Appearance -
Very creamy and yellow in colour. Like the name states it is 'buttery' - melts when on contact to skin and becomes kind of milkier (or balm-like) when rubbing in. Much nicer texture than other cuticle creams I've tried.
After reading many good reviews on this product, I was desperate to try it so I got this little pot from the Lush store for free. Its just a small-ish scoop of the tester but it is quite a lot considering how little you use. It lasted a few months ( I didn't use everyday as I wanted to try other cuticle products I have) and now I've finally used every last scrap, I definitely want to repurchase. I would buy it now but I really should use those other ones up first!
The smell is pleasant - if a little strong, and my skin absorbs it very easily, but it can feel a little slimey, but not greasy at first. Once I got used to that I started to love it. It is very moisturising, not only for the cuticles but the dry skin around the nails, which is amazing for me as other treatments are only targets the cuticles and don't moisturise the rest of the skin.
Pros -
- Lovely scent (personal preference)
- Easy to apply
- Unique to other cuticle creams
- Absorbs easily
- Keep cuticles / other dry parts in good condition
Cons -
- Little expensive (but worth it!)
- Size - a 50g pot is A LOT so a smaller pot along with this size would be handy
What do you think? I'm definitely repurchasing!

Scent -
Doesn't smell great. Kind of 'chemically'. It isn't a bad scent but not the best.
Texture / Appearance -
Creamy and white, fairly thick/rich. Similar to other conditioners.
I picked this up in Aprils issue of Glamour mag & this conditioner is the most expensive out of the other products that were being given away. I think it works out to around £6.40 for the 100ml you receive which is pretty good for the £2 price tag of Glamour. The other Percy & Reed products they were offering were the Colour & Shine Shampoo, Finishing Polish & No Oil Oil. I chose the conditioner as I use way more conditioner than shampoo. I have loads of half used shampoo bottles and hardly any conditioner! (It's very long and dry so I use a generous helping each time)
I used this 100ml in about 3 or 4 goes. To me, it feels like it doesn't wash out properly, which wasn't nice. I found it made my hair soft, but not that shiny.
Pros -
- Makes hair soft
- Pretty packaging
Cons -
- Smells a bit weird
- Expensive for what it is
- Didn't last long (but I did only have the 100ml version
- Doesn't wash out fully
- Better conditioners around
- Doesn't make hair that shiny even though that is what it claims to do
Overall, I wouldn't repurchase. There are just much better and cheaper conditioners out there.
